.I'm Shawn Buckley, founder of Focused Sun and inventor of the FourFold solar module. I'm a former professor of Mechanical Engineering at MIT, specializing in solar energy. I've written a best selling solar energy book, Sunup to Sundown (McGraw-Hill). This isn't my first rodeo: I was a founder of Chevron's solar energy subsidiary, Hydro Sun, over 30 years ago. Since then I've founded 3 other Silicon Valley startups. The FourFold solar panel collects four times more energy from the sun than a conventional photovoltaic (PV) panel. It's called a "hybrid" because both heat and electricity are captured.
